Empire State of Mind: Tribeca Film Festival






On April 21,2010 The Tribeca Film Festival officially kicked off in New York City. It's one of the biggest , if not the biggest, film festival that takes place in NYC. This year there is a lot of buzz around the films that will be showing and the events that will be taking place throughout the duration of the festival. Some of the movies that have sparked major interest have been: My Trip to Al-Qaeda by Alex Gibney (documentary), William Vincent starring James Franco, Freakanomics, Beware of Gonzo by Bryan Goluboff , Spork by J.B Ghuman Jr. , The Two Escobars by Jeff and Michael Zimbalist (documentary) , Micmacs, Letters to Juliet starring Amanda Seyfried (Jennifer's Body, Mamma Mia!), Zonad by John and Kieran Carney , Monagamy , The Woodmans by C. Scott Willis, Arias With A Twist: The Docufantasy by Bobby Sheehan, and Feathered Cocaine .

The festival also offers a wide variety of events to attend from the Tribeca Talks to the free workshops offered at the Apple store in SOHO. Also there is the 2010 Family Festival taking place throughout the duration of the festival.
